Aunt Bunny's Stuffing Recipe

Overview

This Thanksgiving and Christmas stuffing recipe has lots of fruit, pork sausage, water chesnuts and spices.

Step 1

Take first 6 and mix together in Bowl # 1.

Step 2

Take crumbs, sausage (yes raw) and butter mix together in Bowl # 3.

Step 3

Mix the rest together in Bowl # 2.

Step 4

Blend Bowl # 1 with Bowl # 2.

Step 5

Mix in Bowl # 3.

Step 6

Stuff turkey.

Best when used with Bacon-Studded Turkey and Green Pepper Gravy.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 Apple, peel & dice
  • 1 Orange, peel & dice
  • 1cn Crushed pineapple (lg)
  • 1/2 Lemon, juice of
  • 1cn Water chesnuts, sliced
  • 3T Preserved ginger
  • 2ts Dry mustard
  • 1/4c Parsley, chopped
  • 4 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2ts Corriander
  • 1tb Poultry seasoning
  • 4 Onions (lg), diced
  • 2ts Carroway seeds
  • 2ts Poppy seeds
  • 2 1/2ts Oregano
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 3ts Celery seed
  • 1ts Pepper
  • 1/2ts Mace
  • 1/4ts Cloves
  • 1/2ts Majoram
  • 1/2ts Savory
  • 6 Celery stalks, diced
  • Salt, to taste
  • 3 Stuffing crumbs, Lg bags
  • 1lb Pork sausage, bulk
  • 1/4c Butter
