Rice And Peas Recipe

Step 1

Cook peas according to directions, drain well and hold aside. In heavy sauce pan saute' onion and parsley with 2/3 of the butter (for about 5 minutes). Add rice and continue to saute' for 5 minutes. Add water and bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 2

Stir peas, salt and remaining butter into rice. Place on a serving dish and add parmesan cheese.

  • 1c Rice
  • 1pk Peas, frozen
  • 6T Butter
  • 1/3c Onion, minced
  • 2T Parsley, minced
  • 1t Salt
  • 2T Parmesan cheese
  • 2c Water
