Mushroom Pate Recipe


Mushroom Pate this is a fantastic vegetarian pate. People who do not like ordinary pate seem to love this one. Vary the herbs and substitute the vegetables as you wish.

Step 1

Sauté mushrooms in butter 5-10 minutes or until tender and liquid has evaporated.

Step 2

Place in blender or food processor, add remaining ingredients.

Step 3

Process until smooth. Refrigerate, covered, at least 3 hours before serving. Garnish as desired.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 1/2 pound of fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 2 tablespoons of butter (or margarine if you must)
  • 1 One 8 ounce package of cream cheese
  • 1 3 to 4 minced garlic cloves (or to taste)
