Corn Bread MIX Recipe

Step 1

Mix flour, cornmeal, dry milk, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening completely. Refrigerate in airtight container up to 1 month. 12 cups mix. *lf using self-rising flour, reduce baking powder to 2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons and omit salt.

  • 4c All-purpose flour*
  • 4c Yellow commeal
  • 1 3/4c Nonfat dry milk
  • 1/3c Baking powder
  • 2ts Salt
  • 1 3/4c Shortening
