Cherry Orange Chicken Recipe

This is a simple and easy way to prepare chicken, one of the cheapest meats in the U. S.

Step 1

Place the cut up chicken in a large baking pan. Pour the melted butter over the chicken. Combine the brown sugar, orange peel, ginger, and orange juice, blending well, and pour over the chicken. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 45 minutes. Remove and add the cherries, then return to the oven and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and tender.

  • 4 To 6 Pounds Chicken Fryers, Cut Up
  • 4tb Butter Or Regular Margarine, Melted
  • 1c Brown Sugar
  • 1/2ts Grated Orange Peel (Orange Part Only)
  • 1/4ts Ground Ginger
  • 1/2c Orange Juice
  • 1lb Dark Sweet Cherries, Drained (1 Can)
