Southern Coleslaw Robert Recipe

Step 1

In medium bowl, combine salad dressing, vinegar, sugar, mustard, celery seed, mustard seed, and pepper.

Step 2

In large bowl combine cabbage, carrots, and parsley.

Step 3

Pour dressing mixture over cabbage mixture and toss gently to coat. Cover, refrigerate overnight or until serving time, at least 2 hours.

Note: I use refrigerated buttermilk spice ranch style dressing such as Marie's, Hartville Kitchen's, etc.

Things You'll Need

  • 1c Buttermilk ranch dressing
  • 3tb Cider vinegar
  • 2tb Granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2t Prepared mustard
  • 1t Celery seed
  • 1t Whole mustard seed
  • 1/2t Freshly ground black pepper
  • 6c Shredded cabbage
  • 1c Shredded carrots
  • 3tb Chopped fresh parsley
