Cinnamon Apple Crisp Recipe

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F

Step 2

Dissolve 1 tablespoon cinnamon candies in boiling water. arrange apple slices in ungreased 13x9x2" pan. Pour cinnamon flavored water over top.

Step 3

Combine cake mix, brown sugar and melted butter in large bowl. Stir until thoroughly blended. ( Mixture will be crumbly. ) Sprinkle crumbs over apple slices. Bake at 350 F for 50-55 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly. Serve with whipped topping, crushed cinnamon candies and mint leaves, if desired.

TIP: You can substitute 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for the 1 tablespoon red cinnamon candies. stir into cake mix.

  • 1c Boiling water
  • 6md Apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1pk Duncan Hines' Moist Deluxe White Cake Mix
  • 1c Light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2c Butter or margarine, melted
  • Frozen whipped topping (thaw)
  • Crushed red cinnamon candies
  • Mint leaves, for garnish
