Creamy Shrimp Spread Recipe

Step 1

In small saucepan, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over milk; let stand 1 minute. Stir over low heat until gelatin is completely dissolved, about 3 minutes.

Step 2

In large bowl, with wire whisk, thoroughly blend gelatin mixture, yogurt and mayonnaise. Stir in remaining ingredients except salad greens. Turn into 4-cup bowl or mold; chill until firm, about 3 hours. Unmold onto salad greens. Serve, if desired, on crackers or cocktail bread. Makes 4 cups spread.

  • 1/2c Milk, skim
  • 8oz Yogurt, plain
  • 1/2c Mayonnaise
  • 1lb Shrimp, cleaned, cooked and coarsely chopped
  • 1 Celery, chopped
  • 1/4c Cheese, Parmesan, grated
  • 1tb Mustard, Dijon, prepared
  • 2tb Dill, fresh, snipped
  • 1/2ts Salt
  • 1/4ts Pepper
  • Mixed salad greens (optional)
