Rolled Oats Bread Recipe

Step 1

Combine boiling water and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until blended. Pour over rolled oats. Allow to stand 1 hour. Add cooking oil, sirup, salt, flour, and yeast which has been softened in lukewarm water. Beat thoroughly. Allow to rise until double in bulk, then beat thoroughly. Pour into well-oiled pan. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Bake in moderate oven (375 F) about 45 minutes. 1 loaf.

  • 1c Corn sirup
  • 1/2ts Salt
  • 4c Rolled oats
  • 1/2c Lukewarm water
  • 1tb Cooking oil
  • 1 Cake compressed yeast
  • 2c Flour
  • 1/2c Sweetened condensed milk
