German" pancakes, are shaped like a bowl, and come in a range of sizes. They are commonly eaten with lemons and powdered sugar, although jam is sometimes used as well. The pancakes eaten in Germany, however, are of the English variety. They are called Pfannkuchen.
Mix eggs, milk, flour and salt with wire whisk till smooth.
Heat oven to 375. place 2 9x13 inch pans with 3or4 tablespoons butter in each. Let butter melt in pan.
Watch close not to burn butter, 3 to 4 minutes. add half of batter to each pan. bake for 20 minutes. serve with syrup, powdered sugar.
