Hot Rough Tomato Soup Recipe

Step 1

Skin the tomatoes & cut into chunks. Melt ghee in pot over medium-low heat & cook onion till it turns golden. Add the rest of the ingredients, adding enough salt to taste. Simmer for 45 minutes.

  • 3lg Ripe tomatoes
  • 2tb Ghee
  • 1lg Onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1sm Potato, cubed
  • 3/4c Tomato paste
  • 7 1/2c Vegetable stock
  • 1pn Thyme
  • 2sm Dried red chilies, chopped
  • 6ea Whole cloves
  • 12ea Peppercorns
  • 3ea Bay leaves
  • Salt
