Ham-Broccoli Rolls Recipe

Step 1

In a shallow, heat-resistant, non-metallic baking dish, place ham slices. Top each ham slice with cheese.

Step 2

Place cooked broccoli spears on top of each cheese-topped-ham slice. Set aside.

Step 3

In a medium-sized, heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl, melt the one tablespoon butter, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 30 seconds.

Step 4

Blend in the flour, salt, horseradish, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Set aside.

Step 5

Combine beaten egg yolk and pineapple juice.

Step 6

Add pineapple juice mixture to butter mixture. Blend well.

Step 7

Stir in milk.

Step 8

Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 5 minutes, stirring every minute until sauce is thick and bubbling.

Step 9

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of sauce over broccoli.

Step 10

Roll ham and cheese around broccoli and secure with wooden toothpicks.

Step 11

Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven for 8 minutes.

Step 12

Spoon remaining sauce over ham rolls. Top with pineapple slices.

Step 13

Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is bubbly.

  • 10oz Frozen broccoli spears,

  • 1T Butter or margarine
  • 1T All-purpose flour
  • 1/4t Salt
  • 1T Preapred horseradish
  • 2t Prepared mustard
  • 1/2t Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2t Instant minced onion
  • 2 Slightly beaten egg yolks
  • 1c Pineapple juice
  • 1/2c Milk
  • 4sl Canned pineapple drained
