Cheesy Vegetable Spread Recipe

Step 1

In food processor, process cheese, yogurt, lemon juice, and soy sauce until smooth.

Step 2

Stir in remaining ingredients. Use as a spread on crackers, whole wheat bread, or pita crisps, or stuffed into pita pockets.

Step 3

Makes 1 1/2 cups Variations: - substitute shredded Cheddar for the farmer cheese Spread may be made in advance, and refrigerated 3-4 days.

  • 1c Shredded Farmer Cheese(4 oz)
  • 3tb Plain Yogurt
  • 1ts Lemon juice
  • 1ts Soy sauce
  • 1/4c Chopped Apple
  • 1/4c Chopped Carrot
  • 2tb Finely chopped Celery
  • 2tb Chopped Pecans
  • 2tb Currants
  • 1tb Toasted Wheat germ
  • 1/2ts Curry powder
