Hummous Recipe

Step 1

Place garlic, parsley, and scallions in a food processor or blender and mince.

Step 2

Add chick peas, tahini, lemon juice, and salt, and puree to a thick paste. (You can also do the mincing and mashing by hand. The hummus wil have a coarser texture, but that can be nice too.)

Step 3

Season to taste, if desired, with cayenne and cumin ( and correct he salt, if necessary). Tranfer to a tightly lidded container and chill.

Things You'll Need

  • 3md Cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1lg Handful parsley
  • 2md Scallions, in 1" pieces
  • 3c Cooked Chick peas
  • 6tb Tahini
  • 6tb Fresh lemon juice
  • 1ts Salt (to taste)
  • cayenne and cumin to taste (optional)
