Chinese Cabbage Salad Recipe

Overview

A very healthy and crunchy salad. The noodles added give a very crunchy taste to the salad.

Step 1

Combine all the salad ingredients except the Ramen noodles. Combine all dry dressing ingredients.

Step 2

Once mixed well include oil and sesame seed oil. Pour over salad. When ready to serve, crush Ramen noodles in package and then mix into salad.

Step 3

If saving salad for later use, keep noodles separate from salad, as the noodles will loose their crunch. Serve cool.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 Salad:
  • 1 1 head of cabbaage, chopped
  • 1 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 to 1 cup cilantro (optional to taste)
  • 1 3 chicken breasts cooked and shredded
  • 1 1 pkg. slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1 1/2 to 1 pkg. sesame seeds
  • 1 2 pkgs Oriental style Ramen noodles
  • 1 Dressing:
  • 1 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 2 to 3 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 1 1/2 tbs. rice vinegar
  • 1 4 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1 to 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 2 oriental stye ramen noodle flavor packets
