Harvard Beets Recipe

Step 1

Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt; blend in beet liquid, vinegar, and butter.

Step 2

Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add beets; let stand 10 minutes. Heat.

  • 1/3c Sugar
  • 3/4ts Salt
  • 1 1/2c Beet liquid
  • 2tb Vinegar
  • 1 1/2tb Butter or margerine
  • 3c Beets, cooked or can, sliced
