Wash bottles in dish washer with hottest temperature setting.
In separate pot, boil the bottle lids.
Wash onions, peppers and celery. Peel the onions.
Remove only the top core from the peppers.
Use the entire head of celery, leaves and all, removing only the core.
Cube onions, peppers and celery.
Boil about 45 minutes tender using just enough water so it doesn't burn.
Wash and quarter tomatoes (removing only the core), add to other veggies.
Cook until mushy (about 35 to 40 minutes).
Remove from heat; run through a blender then through a ricer (to remove all the seeds).
Return to pot & add salt and sugar.
Make a paste with flour using minimum water.
Add paste to the soup to thicken, then bring to a boil.
While waiting, cook alphabet macaroni in a separate pot.
Add margarine to keep the macaroni from sticking together.
Soup will need to boil 10 to 15 minutes, then add cooked alphabet noodles.
Stir, returning the soup to a full boil.
Pour into prepared bottles and seal lids.
Wait 24 hours for jars to cool. Do not disturb bottles.
Tap on bottle lid to see if it is vacumm tight (lid should have no downward leeway).
Wipe bottles with wet washrag to remove spillage.
