Garden Herb Bread Recipe

NOTE: I rewrote the recipe to follow order of my machine. It works wonderfully in my Panasonic.

This bread tastes like stuffing! It is WONDERFUL!!!! Here are some hints from the book:

Use dried herbs that are flaked and not ground. If using ground, reduce the amt. by half. If using fresh herbs, double the recipe.

This recipe can be made with the regular, rapid, or delayed time bake cycles.

------------REGULAR LOAF----------------
  • 2c White Bread Flour
  • 1tb Dry Milk
  • 1tb Sugar
  • 1ts Salt
  • 1ts Chives
  • 1ts Marjoram
  • 1ts Thyme
  • 1/2ts Basil
  • 1tb Butter
  • 3/4c Water
  • 1ts FAST RISE Yeast OR
  • 2ts ACTIVE DRY Yeast
------LARGE LOAF (12 SERVINGS-----------
  • 3c White Bread Flour
  • 2tb Dry Milk
  • 2tb Sugar
  • 1 1/2ts Salt
  • 1/2tb Chives
  • 1/2tb Margoram
  • 1/2tb Thyme
  • 1ts Basil
  • 2tb Butter
  • 1 1/4c Water
  • 2ts FAST RISE Yeast OR
  • 3ts DRY ACTIVE Yeast
