Orange Hot and Sweet Mustard Recipe

This mustard sauce is great for dipping your favorite items. Try it with soft pretzels as well!

Step 1

Place mustard in double boiler but not over heat. Ad juices a lttle at a>> time, stirring after each addition to keep mustard from lumping. Odd zests.

Step 2

Heat covered over simmering water for 15 minutes, scrapping sides occasionally.

Step 3

Stir in honey, cinnamon and oil. Transfer to jars and refrigerate.

Step 4

Check consistency after 1 day. Thin with a little water if needed.

Will keep well for up to 1 month. Makes 2 cups.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 1/8c Dry mustard; (3 1/4 oz can)
  • 1c Orange juice
  • 1/4c Lemon juice
  • 2ts Zest; grated orange
  • 1ts Zest; grated lemon
  • 1/2c Honey
  • 1/2ts Cinnamon
  • 2tb Vegetable oil
