Chinese Cabbage Salad Recipe

Overview

This salad is absolutely delicious so be prepared to give your guests the recipe--they will be asking for it. Submitted by Miriam Adams

Step 1

Prepare napa cabbage the night previous, place paper towel in the bottom of bowl and place shredded cabbage in bowl-this cabbage releases a lot of liquid and will make your salad too wet if this step is not followed.

Step 2

Lightly brown the seeds, almonds and noodles in the margarine. Stir continuously and watch carefully as this browns rather quickly.

Step 3

Cool thoroughly

Step 4

Mix sugar, oil, soy sauce and lemon in separate container

Step 5

When ready to serve salad, remove the paper towel, add green onions, and browned mixture

Step 6

Mix just enough of the sugar/oil mixture into the cabbage to lightly coat the salad

Things You'll Need

  • 1 head napa cabbage, finely chopped, well drained
  • 2 bunches green onion chopped
  • 1/2cup sesame seeds
  • 1cup sliced almonds
  • 2pkg ramen Noodles, crushed
  • 1/4cup margarine
  • 1/2cup sugar
  • 1/2cup oil
  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 3tbsp lemon juice
