Vegetable Beef Soup Recipe

Step 1

Cook beef in water and salt 1 1/2 hours. Then add carrots, onions, cabbage, celery. One-half hour later add tomatoes, peas, potatoes and 2 T. rice soaked in cold water 1 hour. Cook until rice is done. Add a dash of pepper and serve.

  • 3lb Beef; boiling
  • 6qt Water; cold
  • 2tb Salt
  • 2ea Carrots
  • 3ea Onions
  • 1/2ea Cabbage; head
  • 4ea Celery; stalks - chopped
  • 1cn Tomatoes
  • Or
  • 2tb Tomato paste
  • 1cn Peas
  • 1c Potatoes; diced
