Kasha Salad Recipe

Step 1

Place kasha in pot of water or chicken bouillon, some salt and pepper; bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat.

Step 2

Cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Combine cooked kasha with remaining ingredients, chill and serve over a bed of lettuce.

Things You'll Need

  • 1c Kasha
  • 1c Peas, cooked
  • 1c Mushroom, sliced
  • 2ea Tomato, medium chopped
  • 1ea Cucumber, peeled,chopped
  • 1/2c Celery, chopped
  • 1/4c Scallion, chopped
  • 4T Parsley, chopped
  • 2T Pimento, chopped
  • 2ea Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/2c Salad oil
  • 1/4c Vinegar
  • 1/2t Salt
  • 4c Water
  • 1 Pepper
