Combine sugar, vinegar, salt, water, MSG, and bring to a boil. Pour over sliced vegetables. Cool. Refrigerate overnight. Serve with thin slices of smoked salmon.

  • 4 Young cucumbers, sliced

  • 2lg Onions, sliced
  • 3 Stalks celery, sliced
  • 1/3c Brown sugar
  • 3/4c Vinegar
  • 1tb Salt
  • 1ts MSG
  • 1c Water
  • 1/4lb Smoked salmon (lox)
