Without a garden hose, where would a gardener be? Garden hoses aid the lives of lawn keepers and gardeners. Wherever you go on your lawn or in your garden, you have easy access to water by simply having your garden hose stretched alongside you. An effective way to store your garden hose is by using a garden hose reel, but after a few seasons, it's usually time to replace the hose reel. With a few tools and a little patience, you can replace your garden hose reel in a few minutes.
Remove the old garden hose reel from its support by using a power drill to extract the screws that are holding it in place. The type of drill bit required will depend on the type of screws used.
Place the new garden hose reel where you will be storing the garden hose. Use duct tape to temporarily secure the garden hose reel while you prepare to insert the screws.
Use screws and a drill bit designed for the type of material that will support the new hose reel. Insert the new screws until they are snug.
Remove the duct tape and place the garden hose onto the reel to make sure the reel will properly support the hose. If the reel is not secure, check the snugness of the screws.
