Whether you know tofu or not, the baked type available in whole foods and some grocery stores makes a delicious sandwich and even wrap filling. Sample the following combinations for a slice of the good life. Feel free to mix and match.
How to Make Baked Tofu Wraps
Heat wrap if desired on ungreased pan on medium low. Flip when warm, and turn off heat.
Remove wrap from pan and smear with mayonnaise if desired.
Slice baked tofu. Use 1-2 slices per wrap. Place in the middle of flat wrap.
Top with lettuce as well as sliced peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers...anything salad-like that is in the refrigerator. Try sprouts or avocado slices if you have them.
Dribble your favorite dressing or peanut sauce over the filling. Fold both sides of wrap over the middle, and tuck the bottom up like a burrito or diaper. Enjoy the cool refreshment of a healthy veggie meal.
