Watermelon tomato salad exudes the fresh smell and crisp taste that reminds one of summer. Inhaling it can instantly remind one of summer. Try this salad as a fresh and different option to bring to your next potluck or picnic. It's a natural for crowds because the ingredients are easily doubled or even tripled.
How to Make Watermelon Tomato Salad
Cut watermelon in half, and scoop out balls with melon baller.
Wash tomatoes in colander and dry thoroughly.
Chop onion and place in large mixing bowl. Add watermelon and tomatoes and combine thoroughly.
Chop parsley and basil, and place in small bowl. Add lime juice, vinegar and salt and pepper. Stir together with fork.
Pour herbs and lime juice mixture over watermelon, tomatoes and onion. Using a rubber spatula, mix thoroughly to blend.
Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour to allow flavors to mellow.
