How to Make Smoothie Bars

Smoothies make the perfect breakfast for people on the go, but they can also make the perfect snack. Smoothie bars are low-fat, yet that have a creamy texture that makes them seem sinful. Best of all, this frozen treat is extremely easy to make.

Step 1

Prep the fruit. Before tossing your fruit into the blender, be sure to clean and prep it. This includes removing stems, blemishes, and peels. You don't need to cut the fruit into small pieces because the blender will do that for you. Also the fruit doesn't have to be frozen because the mixture will be going into the freezer.

Step 2

Combine with yogurt and honey. Once the fruit is prepped, add it to the blender along with the yogurt and honey.

Step 3

Blend until smooth. Depending on the blender, you may need to use a different setting, but puree and liquefy are the best options.

Step 4

Taste it. Before pouring the smoothie into the mold, make sure it's sweet enough. If not, add more honey.

Step 5

Pour into popsicle molds and freeze overnight.

Tips and Warnings

If you prefer, you can strain the any seeds from the mixture. The mixture can be left a little chunky if you want pieces of fruit in the smoothie bars. To easily remove smoothie bars from the mold, dip the mold in warm water.

Things You'll Need
