Herbs have long been known for their ability to safely help you sleep. Use herbs in teas, tonics, concoctions mixed with alcohol to simply smelling their scent to help you relax. With these simple instructions, you can make small scented pillows that will give you sweet dreams!
Making Herbal Sleep Pillows
Place the pieces of fabric together with the right sides facing each other. Sew three sides using a 1/2 inch seam and a small (12) stitch.
Create the mixture of scented herbs you find most pleasant; you will need less than 3/4 cup for a pillow.
Turn the fabric so that the right sides are out and gently place the herbs inside.
Hold the bag on a table, with the open top up. Fold the unsewn edges down inside about 1/2 inch and pin or baste it closed.
Sew the seam on the sewing machine very close to the edge using a small stitch. Trim the threads and gently distribute the herbs throughout. Place this under your pillow.
