Christmas brings memories of putting up decorations, trimming the tree, wrapping gifts and of course shaking the snow globe that was carefully packed away for the past 11 months. Make your own holiday snow jar with your kids for a great craft project to do over the holiday break.
Sand the inside of the jar lid so it's rough.
Paint the outside of the lid whatever color you choose. Set aside to let dry.
Place the lid upside down on a table.
Super glue your figures and/or trees to the inside of the lid arranging them to make a scene.
Fill the jar 3/4 full of water.
Add a little bit of glitter.
Add just a drop of glycerin. This helps the glitter to float around in the jar. Don't add too much, or the glitter won't float around. Glycerin is available at most drug stores.
Screw the lid on the jar tightly.
Shake the jar and set it down with the lid on the bottom to watch the "snow" fall around the scene inside .
