More fiber is found in some types of food than others. Eating foods rich in fiber is beneficial to the body. Eating fiber-rich food helps to make the digestion process easier, along with many other benefits. There are two types of fibers--soluble and insoluble fiber.


Eating oatmeal is beneficial to the body. Oatmeal has fibers that can help to maintain the good cholesterol in the body. It is also known to reduce the bad cholesterol.

Dry Beans

Dry beans--when cooked--supply fiber to the body. Eating beans benefits the body by supplying the body with fiber and helps to regulate the blood sugar levels.


Blueberries, when eaten fresh, provides fiber and have many additional health benefits. Eating blueberries not only supplies the body with fiber, but it also can help sharpen the vision.


When you don't peel your apple, you're getting another great source of fiber in the skin. Include apples in your daily diet to lower cholesterol levels.

Brown Rice

Eating brown rice is a healthy choice. Brown rice is full of vitamins and fiber. Eating brown rice can reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
