Swedish bitter is an herbal drink which contains a mixture of alcohol and medicinal herbs. It has been used for medicinal purposes since its creation back in 1541, by the Swiss physician Philippus Paracelsus. Its intended purpose was to relieve indigestion. The medicinal benefits of the Swedish bitter have kept this original elixir in existence for centuries.
