How to Make Raw Chocolate Chip Cookies

A raw food diet is a plant-based diet that promotes uncooked and unprocessed foods, such as organic fruits, vegetables and nuts. Raw chocolate chip cookies are made from nuts, raw oats, all-natural chocolate and sweeteners. Prepared at a temperature below 117 degree, these delicious cookies are a nutritious raw food dessert that can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner.

Step 1

Grind cashews and oats in a food processor using the "S" blade until a powder substance is formed. Add remaining cookie dough ingredients to the processor and process until mixture forms a dough.

Step 2

Shape cookie dough into a large ball and place in the refrigerator while you make the chocolate chips.

Step 3

Pour chocolate chip ingredients into a medium-sized bowl. Mix thoroughly until a thick smooth consistency is formed. Spread mixture evenly with a rolling pen onto parchment paper and place in the freezer 45 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the cookie dough from the refrigerator and chocolate chip mixture from freezer. Cut chocolate mixture into desired chip sizes.

Step 5

Add chocolate chips to the cookie dough and mix thoroughly. Spread dough onto dehydrator sheet and dehydrate overnight. Cut into desired shapes and sizes. Serve warm or cold.

Tips and Warnings

  • Refrigerate cookie dough on parchment paper, otherwise it will stick to the plate.
