Growing indoors is a great way to keep a steady supply of your favorite vegetables and herbs on hand no matter what the weather outside. There are many choices when building a grow room. Many of these choices are rather expensive. Some of them are even worth the expense. But, to get started growing indoors you should start out with something cheaper. A beginner's grow room can be assembled with very little time or money right in your bedroom closet.
Apply vertical stripes of toothpaste along each wall of the closet at 12 inch intervals. Press foil onto the toothpaste and smooth with your hands for a sure bond.
Remove and discard the old light bulb from the closet outlet. Twist the grow bulb firmly into place. Turn the light on or off every 8 hours for an accelerated grow cycle.
Place your potted plant into the closet and allow the plant to grow. Water your plant when the top of the soil is dry to the touch and mist the plant leaves with water from your spray bottle as necessary to raise the humidity of your new grow room.
