How to Make Diabetic Jelly

When you are on a somewhat strict diabetic diet, it may be difficult to find treats to eat, when you are craving something sweet. With a few simple ingredients, diabetics can make their own sweet treats at home. Even though this recipe is for strawberry jelly, different ingredients can be added to spice it up or so the taste is personalized for the person who is making it.

Step 1

Crush the strawberries in the large saucepan, and then add the water and gelatin.

Step 2

Place the pan over medium heat and bring the substance to a boil. Make sure that you are constantly stirring the mixture so that it does not burn.

Step 3

Turn the heat down to low once the mixture has began to boil, and let it simmer in the pot for about two minutes.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into the containers (plastic for freezer and jars for refrigerator), and let it sit out on the counter to cool.

Step 5

Store your fresh, sugar-free jelly in the refrigerator or freezer.

Things You'll Need
