One of the biggest problems with the fruit drinks created and sold on the market these days is how almost all of the juices are chock-full of sugar, high fructose corn syrup and other byproducts. When you look on the back of the bottles more often than not the fruit in the juice is not even the main ingredient. If you are tired of all these unhealthy juices you may want to create your own juices, and the best part of all is you don't need an electric juicer.
Pick up the fruit you want to use for your homemade juice. Different kinds of juice are going to require different methods of extraction.
Place a strainer over a drinking glass or something you want to save your juice in. If you plan on making a large amount, you may want to use a jug with a lid.
Cut citrus fruits in half. The juice can be removed from these fruits by simply squeezing them above the strainer. The strainer is there to help collect any seeds of other pulp that may collect.
Cut up other fruits that do not have readily available juice to squeeze, such are pomegranate, pineapple, strawberries, grapes, and place them in a blender. If the fruit has an inedible skin on it, make sure to remove the skin before placing it in the blender.
Pulse the blender until the fruit has been thoroughly pulverized. Pour the contents from the blender through the strainer and into the glass. The fruit juice is going to drain into the cup while the rest of the fruit is going to collect in the strainer.
