How to Make Photo Easter Cards for Free

Send out Easter greetings that are extra-personal this year. Add a photo of yourself, your family or your children to beautiful photo cards created by you. Decorate the cards with fun Easter shapes, pastel colors and your own choice of wording using simple computer software and your own printer.

Step 1

Open the photo editing software that you have available. Use software such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, Microsoft Picture It or Corel Photo Paint. Set the size of the document to 5 inches by 7 inches or 4 inches by 6 inches.

Step 2

Choose a color for the background of the color. Use Easter pastels like light yellow, green, pink or blue. Use the paint bucket tool to fill the background of the card with your chosen color.

Step 3

Add the photo of your choice to the background and resize or crop it to fit the card. Consider using a photo that has a spring background such as nature, flowers or sunshine.

Step 4

Use the shape tool or the line tool to create Easter shapes like eggs, bunnies, flowers or even to add a border to the photo. If the software you are using does not have a shape tool or you are not the creative type, insert clip art instead.

Step 5

Add a title to the card using the text tool. Type a greeting and add the date or year below it in smaller letters.

Step 6

Place photo paper or card stock into the printer. Click on "File" and select "Print" from the menu options. Change the paper size to match the size of your card and then print the Easter card as directed on the screen.

Step 7

Cut the excess paper away from the printed Easter cards. Place the cards into envelopes and prepare for mailing.
