How to Microwave Apple & Raisin Stuffing


The flavor of this slightly sweet and tart stuffing pairs well with a savory roasted turkey, as is traditional during Thanksgiving or Christmas. However, this recipe also makes a great side dish to any weeknight meal. Cooking the stuffing in the microwave makes this recipe a quick and easy addition to any meal.

Step 1

Mix the bread cubes with the melted butter, chopped onions, celery, apples and raisins in the microwave-safe dish using a wooden spoon.

Step 2

Add the chicken broth to the bread mixture, and mix gently with the spoon.

Step 3

Sprinkle in the salt, pepper, sage and poultry seasoning, and mix gently with the spoon.

Step 4

Place the lid on the dish, and put the dish in the microwave.

Step 5

Microwave the stuffing on a high power setting for four to six minutes.

Step 6

Remove the dish from the microwave and let it sit for five minutes.

Step 7

Remove the lid from the dish, and gently fluff the stuffing using a fork.

Step 8

Serve immediately.
