White Cookies with Festive Colors
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Then lightly grease your cookie sheet.
Mix the white cake mix, ½-cup of oil and 1 egg together in a large mixing bowl until combined and moist.
Stir in cranberries and pistachios, mixing well.
Spoon out cookies onto the baking sheet allowing for 12 cookies on a standard sheet. Shape the cookies into round balls and press down slightly.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until slightly browned. Remove from baking pan and allow to cool on a wire rack.
Display on an elegant cookie tray that accents the green and red colors of the nuts and berries in the cookies.
Nutty Chocolate Cookies with Festive Shapes
Mix the chocolate cake mix with ½-cup oil and 1 egg in the mixing bowl until well blended.
Add the chopped pecans and stir until combined.
On a floured surface flatten the dough with your hands. It is best to use your hands as the dough can be a bit dry and crumbly and not ideal for using a rolling pen.
Use the Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut shapes out of the dough.
Place cookies on the greased cookie sheet with about one to two inches between each cookie.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, take out of the oven and move cookies to a baking rack to cool.
Consider decorating the cookies with icing or displaying them on a festive cookie platter.
