If your little girl has a play, dance or Christmas party to go to during the holiday season, you can make her a poinsettia floral barrette to wear in her hair for the event. She will want to wear it for more than one occasion. You can make more than one with the many colored silk blossoms available at craft or department stores.

Step 1

Make sure the bow completely covers the barrette you have chosen. You can make your own six- to-eight-loop bow.

Step 2

Glue the bow to the top of the barrette.

Step 3

Glue the leaves in the center of the bow.

Step 4

Glue one or three small poinsettias to the bow.

Step 5

Glue the berry sprig to one side of the flowers. Trim the ends of the bow if needed.

Tips and Warnings

  • Keep all materials on top of the barrette to prevent anything from poking the child's head.

Things You'll Need

  • Pre-made bow to hide barrette
  • Plain flat barrette in size of your choice
  • Small silk poinsettias
  • Two poinsettia or holly leaves
  • Sprig of fake berries
  • Glue gun
