How to Make Christmas Lollipops for Outside

Crafting your own outdoor Christmas decorations can save money and look adorable. Giant lollipops sell for a lot at Christmas shops, but you can make your own for next to nothing. Include your children for a craft the whole family can do, and get ready for your yard to be as sweet as Christmas candy.

Step 1

Insert one wooden dowel into each foam disc or ball. Pushing the dowel in far enough that it will stay on but leave plenty of room so it looks like the lollipop "stick." The dowels can be inserted at varying lengths to give the lollipops the appearance of being different sizes.

Step 2

Wrap the cellophane over the disc or ball and gather it at the bottom. Tie the cellophane into a bow with ribbon. Use Christmas colors for a holiday look or a rainbow of colors for a candy shop theme.

Step 3

Place giant lollipops directly into the ground. They look great lining a walkway or sidewalk, or framing a porch or patio area. Group a few different sizes together in a bunch for a fun look.
