Santa is famous for his white fluffy hair and beard. In almost every Christmas cartoon or movie, you will find a jolly Santa sporting a lofty head of white hair and beard. If you are looking to craft your own Santa wig, all you need are some simple craft tools from your local craft store and about 30 minutes of your time.
Purchase a bag of Poly-fil that is meant to stuff pillows from your local craft store.
Remove the Poly-fil from the bag. It will be in one large clump. Cut the lump in half with a large pair of scissors.
Take one half of the Poly-fil and stretch and mold over your head. Gently tug the Poly-fil around your skull and down to the back of your neck.
Form the Poly-fil into a cap-shaped form. Make sure to pull two pieces down around the ears so you can connect the second piece which is going to be the beard. With the second piece of Poly-fil, start to shape the beard you will attach to the hair wig.
Gently pull the Poly-fil to form a long and fluffy beard. The beard should extend about four to six ounces past your chin and have two pieces that will go up to your ears to eventually attach to your hair wig.
Once you are happy with the shape of your beard, take the craft glue and apply a small amount to the two ear pieces that will attach near the ears.
Connect the hair piece with the beard piece and let dry till the glue is clear and completely dry.
Once the glue has dried, place the Santa wig on your head to resize if needed. You can gently tug or pull on the Poly-fil to reshape if needed.
