Ground Cover That Pulls Moisture From Ground

The amount of moisture living ground cover plants draw from the ground varies with root depth and plant type. Pachysandra, hosta and Virginia Bluebells are ground covers that prefer moist soil. Plant-based mulches and straw also absorb water to varying degrees when in contact with the ground.
