How Much Lime is Needed to Raise the pH of Apple Trees?

Work 8 oz. of lime into each square yard of soil around apple trees to raise the pH by one point. Soak the soil well after the application to dissolve the lime into the soil. Leave a 12-inch gap between the tree and lime application to prevent damage to the trunk.
