Can I Plant Winter Rye and Then When it Comes Up Interplant With Clover Seeds?

The University of Wisconsin recommends broadcast seeding clover in the spring following a fall planting of rye. Such interplanting gives better results in clay and sandy soils, where there is sufficient exposed soil for the clover seed to have good ground contact and when rye is planted at lower rates.
