The Seed Rate of Wheat

The proper planting of wheat is approximately 35 seeds for every two cubic feet. This ensures that 30 to 35 plants will grow in the allotted space and an ample harvest will come in the fall. A planting 149 pounds per acre is required to make 30 to 35 plants per two cubic feet. This will also help to ensure an 85 percent germination rate.
