Is Leylandii Cypress Deer Resistant?

Leland cypress appeals to deer enough to give the tree a "frequently damaged" rating from the University of West Virginia Agricultural Extension Service. The New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station at Rutgers University notes that deer will occasionally severely damage Leylandii cypress.
