Will Cutting Back a Croton Make it Sprout From the Bottom?

If you cut back a Croton houseplant, new growth will sprout from the cut area. If a Croton growing outside has suffered freeze damage, scratch the stem just below ground level. If it is still green, new growth should appear six to eight weeks after the temperatures warm up.
