Test seeds to see if they are still viable if they are not from the current season. Moisten a paper towel and place 10 Mexican mint marigold seeds on the surface. Fold the paper towel and place in a plastic sandwich bag, then find a warm location. Check daily for signs of germination and after one week, count how many have sprouted to calculate the expected germination rate.
