Can a Bean Plant Grow in the Moonlight?

A bean plant cannot survive with strictly moonlight. Beans require copious amounts of light to germinate and grow. Too little light results in mold growth on beans germinated indoors inside plastic bags, according to the University of California. Plants grown in too little light often become leggy with fewer blooms, according to Texas A&M University.
