Fescue grass is ideally planted in fall and spring of each year in Nebraska. Early fall is considered by experts to be the best planting date because this allows for more growing time under better growth conditions. Spring is also considered acceptable for planting and growing the grass. Both fall and spring plantings help to increase successful cover for problem areas.
